Ambosstoys sells high quality ride-on toys in the design of classic vehicles. The toys are handmade through finest craftsmanship. Ambosstoys is using only durable materials (e.g. metal sheets, steel tubes, powder coating, hard plastic) processed via labor-intensive manufacturing.
Ambosstoys fulfills the mandatory US and EU toy safety and material (Heavy metals, Phthalates, Cadmium) standards. US CPSC & ASTM F963-17, EU 2009/48/EC, DIN EN 71.
The frame of PRIMO is very aesthetical and appears visually very simple. However, the manufacturing is very complex and thus is the key value adding factor of PRIMO.
PRIMO means ‘first’ in Italian and has a twofold meaning: it reflects the origin of the design, as PRIMO resembles a classic Italian scooter, and it marks the first product of Ambosstoys.
The design of the frame of PRIMO was developed over several years, finalized in CAD and converted into heavy iron-molds.
The heavy iron-molds press the individual frame pieces out of metal sheets.
Multiple individual pieces are then welded by hand to form the final solid frame. This assures highest quality and longevity. The finished frame is powder coated in the color listed in the product title.
An aluminum trim is mounted around the leg-shield for stability, protection and vintage look.
Each of the three wheels contain two metal rims, powder coated in grey and assembled with 4 stainless steel screws. The tires are made by black plastic and include a white wall ring for an authentic classic look. The wheels roll on plastic axes mounted on a metal axes. The axes are then held with stainless steel nuts.
The seat has a soft cushion covered with artificial leather for maximal comfort and old-fashioned look.
The handlebar, the fork and the drive-train are hand-bended metal tubes and powder coated in grey.
The handles are made of black plastic and include a 3D print of the logo Ambosstoys.
